4 Ways to Get Rid of Mold in Your Shower

Mold in your shower does not only cause structural damage to your home, but can also harm your health. Especially for people with allergies or weakened immune systems. Here are 4 ways to get rid of mold in your shower, and prevent future mold invasions.
1. White Vinegar White vinegar is a great way to remove mold from a variety of different surfaces because it contains acetic acid.
Pour the vinegar directly into a spray bottle. Diluting it will only make it less effective.
Thoroughly wet your shower with the vinegar and let it sit for an hour.
Use a scrub brush to clean the area and then fill up a bucket of warm water.
Dip a NoStench® Microfiber Cloth into the warm water and wipe down the area to keep from spreading mold spores to other locations.
2. Borax Borax kills most, but not all kinds of mold by making the pH level in the environment inhospitable to mold.
Mix together 1 cup of Borax with 1 gallon of warm water.
Add the solution to a spray bottle.
Apply the solution directly onto your shower and then scrub the area with a scrub brush until mold is gone.
Finish by wiping down the area with a dry NoStench® Microfiber Cloth.
3. Bleach Bleach is effective at killing mold on non-porous surfaces. Make sure the area is well ventilated and you are wearing the appropriate protective equipment.
Create a bleach solution of 1 cup of bleach per 1 gallon of water and pour the solution into a spray bottle.
Generously wet the infected area and let the bleach sit for 10 minutes.
Clean the area with a scrub bush and finish by rinsing with clean water.

4. Hydrogen Peroxide Hydrogen peroxide removes mold by oxidizing it.
Pour 3% concentration hydrogen peroxide into a spray bottle and saturate your shower with it.
Let it sit for 15 minutes.
Scrub the area until the mold is gone and then wipe down the surface with a clean NoStench® Microfiber Cloth.
